The Other Almanac is a reimagining of The Old Farmer's Almanac.

We think there is huge potential for a new almanac - one that is deep, meaningful, and bridges across the urban and rural divide here in the US.

There are still small wisdoms, articles, tips, calendars, and star guides, but The Other Almanac includes words and art from professors, farmworkers, scientists, medicine makers, incarcerated poets, sex workers, activists, astrologers, midwives, and more. Our 2022 edition is the first of many Other Almanacs to come.

Our goal is to make a yearly and financially accessible publication that can be carried in gas stations, bookstores, deli's, museums, community centers, gardening stores, supermarkets and everywhere in-between.

  • We welcome support in all forms and would especially love to hear from you if you are interested in carrying The Other Almanac at your store or collaborating with us on events, marketing, or publishing. Please reach out!
